Acting or being an actor is not just about glamour and fame in life, it’s a very important part of filmmaking. It portrays our raw, unadulterated expressions, emotional, and at times ugly side of human emotions. An actor at their very core are story tellers. Acting and performances are an expression of life – our cultures, our worries, our love, our strengths, our weaknesses and our thirst for knowledge. Acting is an activity in which we tell about a story of its appearance by an actor or actress who adopts a character in theatre, television, film, radio, or any other medium that makes use of the imitative mode. Actors are storytellers, temporarily extinguishing our worries as they play out alternate realities on stage or screen, reminding us of happier times or our greater human potential.

How does acting contributes to our society

Actors by their core are communicators. their work can impact society and shape things to come. Be it theatre, film, music etc allows people from different cultures and different times to communicate with each other via images, sounds and stories.

Aspects included in Film Acting Course

Acting Basics– Setting the foundation stone for acting fundamentals by covering relaxation, trust, discipline, playful attitude, handling criticism, ability to work, handling pressure, concentration, listening and responding, speech, diction, body language, improvisation, mind games and more.

Movement Basics– Exploring and developing body movements in sync with representing expressions and becoming self-aware about your body parts and understanding the connection between breath, objectivity and space presence.

Camera Basics – Understanding Camera angles and movements according to shots and scenes & act accordingly . Learning to speak dialogues, delivering reactions, prompt reactions to actions from Direction Team and Co Actors.

Film Appreciation – Understanding the various parts  of film making  and the characters played by Actors in a micro level for developing a  refreshed vision and different perspectives to look at any scene or complete film.

Vocal Basics– Exercises (physical and vocal) to free your voice and body from routine tensions, developing vocal range and projecting your voice without strain, gaining perfection in art work to understand the context in a better way.

Theatre Basics – Learning  to keep a balance between conscious and sub-conscious mind in front of crowd, developing ideas to formulate, write and perform in self-directed ways, active analysis for exploring and realizing scenes.

Character Basics– Developing the character of the story to make it appear realistic, also preparing not only for naturalistic character but also commedia

Creative Imagination – Understanding the director’s creative imagination according to story and Portraying the characters as per requirement.
